About the Role
As an Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Engineer at Souremphi, you will design, secure, and maintain the systems that ensure our autonomous platforms operate reliably under real-world conditions. You will implement hardened network architectures, secure communication pipelines, telemetry systems, identity controls, and monitoring solutions. This role combines hands-on systems engineering, cybersecurity pragmatism, and operational reliability — supporting both lab environments and field deployments.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and secure network infrastructures for ground control stations, fleet communications, and backend systems
- Implement security hardening, system isolation, and threat mitigation for Linux-based mission systems and operator devices
- Configure VPNs, private networks, and encrypted telemetry channels for contested or low-bandwidth environments
- Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting pipelines to detect anomalies in fleet behavior, operator systems, and backend infrastructure
- Manage access control, identity, and operational security policies across environments
- Support field deployments: configure, test, and validate infrastructure in realistic operational conditions
You should have the following
- Strong proficiency with Linux systems administration and hardening
- Experience securing networks, firewalls, VPNs, and communication channels
- Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals (threat modeling, intrusion prevention, auditing)
- Experience with logging and monitoring platforms (ELK, Loki, Prometheus, or similar)
- Ability to create clear documentation and operational runbooks
Nice to have
- Familiarity with drone or robotics communication stacks (MAVLink, RTSP, custom RF links)
- Experience with PKI, hardware security modules, or secure boot pipelines
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad)
- Hands-on experience deploying systems in remote, austere, or high-security environments
- Background in defense, mining, industrial automation, or secure critical infrastructure
