About Us

Souremphi develops advanced autonomous systems for defense and mining operations.

Our platforms combine AI, high-performance engineering, and field-tested reliability to operate in complex and demanding environments.

We deliver scalable, mission-ready solutions built for real-world conditions.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Engineer at Souremphi, you will design structures, mechanisms, and payload integrations optimized for strength, weight, and manufacturability. You’ll deliver robust assemblies for harsh environments and work closely with manufacturing to scale builds reliably.

Responsibilities

  • Design airframes, mounts, gimbals, and payload interfaces for rugged environments
  • Perform FEA, tolerance analysis, and GD&T; iterate through rapid prototyping
  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings; select materials and processes
  • Lead DFM/DFS reviews and support tooling, jigs, and fixture development
  • Partner with manufacturing to qualify processes and improve yield/throughput
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous reliability improvements

You should have the following

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, or similar)
  • Experience with FEA and mechanical validation methods
  • Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, composites, and additive processes
  • Strong understanding of lightweight, high-stiffness design trade-offs

Nice to have

  • Experience building drones or aerospace hardware
  • Hands-on shop skills (fixtures, CNC basics, composite layup)
  • Thermal/vibration analysis experience
  • Mass production experience in cost-sensitive industries

We look forward to hearing how you can help shape the future of autonomous defense systems at Souremphi.
